New £2m data centre and operations facility
We would like to announce that we have recently completed the purchase of a new property, which is to become our new data centre and operations site. The property will provide 12,000sq ft of floor space, dedicated to our data centre and operations teams.
We are all very excited about the new facility, it will provide us with plenty of room for future expansion and allow us to further improve the service we offer all our customers.
The data centre highlights are:
- Diverse BT fibre
- 1000kVA power
- Cisco routers and switches
- Specialist data centre air cooling system
- Back-up diesel generator
- UPS back-up power
- FM200 fire suppression system
- VESDA smoke detection
- CCTV and access control systems
- Lockable server racks
Building work on the data centre has commenced with the builders currently dividing up the interior space into separate rooms for plant and the data hall. The next phase will see the raised floor, suspended ceiling and lighting being installed. After that we are able to start installing the plant, i.e. air cooling systems, UPS and back-up generator etc.
